Donald Trump and his family could face wider congressional scrutiny if Democrats regain control of Congress in November 2026, according to a report published by the Daily Mail. The US president is reportedly angry about the prospect, while a portion of MAGA Inc's reported $400 million fundraising total could be reserved for the family's legal defences if Democrats secure a congressional majority.

The potential investigations could extend to First Lady Melania Trump, Barron Trump, Jared Kushner and Donald Trump Jr. However, the report does not establish that Trump has withdrawn $400 million or that the entire sum has been committed to legal costs.
