President Trump has promised to endorse Jake Paul if the controversial YouTuber-turned-boxer ever runs for office.
Trump made the remarks yesterday during a speech at a packaging facility in Kentucky, after being joined on stage by the influencer.
The president’s declaration of support followed a brief speech by Paul, who later posted a video of the pair hitting Trump’s now infamous YMCA dance.
“We need more factories like this thriving all over the country,” Paul said. “I know he is going to be the one to bring that here to us.
“I know God is with us. I know he wants us on the right side of history,” Paul continued. “And everyone here has to do their part.
“And God’s got us, Trump’s got us,” he added.
Throughout Paul’s stump, Trump beamed and pointed to his guest on stage.
When Trump returned to the podium and pledged to throw his political weight behind Paul.
“I just want to say I predict, I'm going to make a prediction, that you will be in the not too distant future, running for political office, OK,” he said. “And you have my complete and total endorsement, OK?’’
Later that evening, Paul uploaded a video showing him with the commander-in-chief pumping their fists to the Village People’s hit Y.M.C.A.
Paul has 19.5 million followers on TikTok and 21 million subscribers on YouTube.
During the 2024 presidential election campaign, Paul urged his fans to vote for Trump to “quite literally save America.”
Trump had spent a great deal of effort courting influencers in the so-called “Manosphere” during the 2024 campaign, appearing on The Joe Rogan Experience and Impaulsive, a show hosted by Paul’s brother Logan Paul.
Logan criticized his brother recently after Paul called on fans to boycott Super Bowl 2026 for allowing Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny to perform.
“Turn off this halftime,” Paul wrote on X. “A fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America. I cannot support that.”
In response, Logan Paul said that he disagreed with his brother’s remarks.
“Puerto Ricans are Americans & I’m happy they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island,” Logan Paul wrote on X.
During Trump’s rally last night, an elderly woman collapsed and was helped by Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
The president assured the crowd that they had “all the time” to wait for the woman to be treated and even requested that Ave Maria be blasted through the venue’s speakers.
Once the woman was back on her feet, Trump returned to his speech and joked that speaking about California Governor Gavin Newsom had caused the woman to “not feel so good.”
Trump’s rally was held in Republican Representative Thomas Massie’s Kentucky district, who is facing a primary challenge in May.
The pair have often been at loggerheads during Trump’s second administration, with Massie repeatedly criticizing the president’s One Big Beautiful Bill and his handling of the release of the Epstein files.
“He’s the worst person," Trump said at the Kentucky event. “Massie is a complete and total disaster as a congressman and frankly as a human being."
