The Briefing:
- Zachary Czubak and Patrick Fleming — two of three co-owners of Arm Rippin Toys, an Anchorage diesel repair shop — received unconditional pardons onstage at the Curtis D. Menard Memorial Sports Center in Wasilla on October 13. All three co-owners had pleaded guilty in 2022 to conspiring to violate the Clean Air Act by removing emissions-control equipment from at least 37 vehicles.
- Trump also issued a pardon for the shop's third co-owner, Michael Hanzuk II, who was not physically present at the podium. The move marks the latest in a series of Clean Air Act clemencies under Trump's second term, following a July 2026 wave that pardoned nine convicted mechanics, including Wasilla diesel shop owner Mackenzie "Mac" Spurlock.
- At the same rally, Trump announced that the 800-mile Alaska LNG pipeline had secured every required federal permit and claimed Taiwan had committed to purchasing 30% of future output — terms not yet independently verified. Trump also pledged a $5,000 check to every adult American if Republicans hold both chambers of Congress on November 3.
