Trump lashes out at Democrats during rant over his promised $5,000 dividends

President Donald Trump criticized Democrats for opposing his plan to issue $5,000 dividend payments to American adults if Republicans retain control of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections.
Democrats have labeled the proposed payments as a bribe to influence voters ahead of the November elections.
Experts estimate the proposed $5,000 payouts would cost more than $1.2 trillion, adding to an already high fiscal deficit.
House Speaker Mike Johnson described the plan as a creative idea but emphasized that congressional action would be required to execute it.
Trump claimed he does not need congressional approval to issue the checks, citing previous executive payments made to active-duty service members.
