Donald Trump called Nvidia's CEO during a summit, claiming that concerns over artificial intelligence are a "hoax."
The US president made a surprise call to Jensen Huang as he spoke at the All-In Summit in Los Angeles on Monday (14 September).
After being put on speakerphone, Trump downplayed concerns about AI and the data centers that run it.
Trump said: “The robots will not be taking over. The AI will not be taking over the rest of the world. The whole thing is a hoax.”
He added that data centers are "great" and make people and states "wealthy."
