Trump explains why he is ‘not ready’ to make ceasefire deal with Iran

US president Donald Trump has said he is “not ready” for a ceasefire with Iran.
Trump explained in an interview with NBC that “the terms aren’t good enough yet”.
Trump’s statement came as Israel launched “wide-scale” strikes on Iran overnight, with the conflict in the Middle East now heading into its third week.
Residents of neighbourhoods in southern Lebanon and Beirut were ordered to evacuate by Israel on Sunday.
Trump has also called for “many countries” to send warships to the region to help end the blockade.
