Former President Donald Trump is nearing an announcement of his running mate and has provided insights into some of the potential candidates. Trump expressed concerns about North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum signing a near-total abortion ban in his state, calling it 'a little bit of an issue' due to the strong stance taken by the state. The law signed by Burgum allows exceptions for rape or incest within the first six weeks of pregnancy.
Trump also commented on Florida Sen. Marco Rubio's residency, noting that both of them living in Florida could complicate matters. While there is no law preventing a president and vice president from the same state, the Constitution requires state electors to vote for candidates from different states.
