Trump's response to the tragic deaths of Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, has drawn fierce criticism, with opponents accusing him of hypocrisy over inflammatory remarks made ahead of a high-profile pledge of support for Jewish Americans.
In a controversial post on his Truth Social platform, Trump suggested, without justification, that Reiner's outspoken criticism of him contributed to the couple's deaths. The comments were widely condemned as insensitive and politically exploitative in the wake of a family tragedy.
