College football fans enjoy low-altitude Air Force One flyover as Trump attends game

  • President Donald Trump attended the high-profile SEC college football game between Texas and Tennessee at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville on Saturday.
  • The stadium opened 30 minutes earlier than usual for increased security checks, which went relatively smoothly.
  • Attendees got half-price off concessions as a reward for showing up early, and Tennessee faithful had the stands half full 90 minutes before kickoff and nearly packed an hour before.
  • Those in their seats were treated to a low-altitude flyover by Air Force One, carrying Trump, as the Volunteers and Longhorns warmed up on the field below. Trump landed at 11:28 a.m. ET ahead of noon kickoff.
  • The president's visit didn't appear to affect communications between coaches and players on the field despite earlier worries, thanks to some coordination before Saturday's game.
