US Secretary of State Marco Rubio touched down in Saudi Arabia on Monday ahead of talks with Russian officials to end Vladimir Putin’s nearly three-year war in Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Putin's foreign affairs adviser Yuri Ushakov will fly to the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to take part in the talks set for Tuesday.
