Cabinet minister Yvette Cooper rebuffed Donald Trump’s latest stinging attack on Sir Keir Starmer in which he accused Britain of entering the Iran war after “we’ve already won”.

The US president made the barbed remarks after American bombers arrived at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire to prepare for missions to target missile sites in Iran.
