The finale of True Detective: Night Country provided some answers to the mysteries that had been puzzling viewers throughout the season. While some resolutions were satisfying, the reliance on supernatural elements as a narrative crutch left many feeling underwhelmed.
The resolution centered around Annie K discovering a secret underground area in the ice where the Tslal base's dark secrets were kept. She unravels the town's poisoning by the mine to aid in research, leading to a confrontation with the scientists that ends tragically.
