Two brothers catch tiger shark more than 1,500 miles from its tropical home

A rare sighting off Cape Cod has underscored the escalating impact of climate change on marine ecosystems, after two brothers unexpectedly caught a tropical tiger shark. Nate and Nelson Rouette, seasoned sport fishermen from Massachusetts, were fishing from a Falmouth beach in late July when they reeled in the five-foot juvenile.

The brothers, who typically seek more common brown sharks, were "shocked" by their late-night catch. Tiger sharks are predominantly found in warmer, southern waters like the Caribbean Sea, more than 1,500 miles away, and are known for their indiscriminate eating habits.
