You need to bring identification:

People under the age of 16 are not allowed into this year's TRNSMT, and stewards will be operating a Challenge 25 policy at the entrance, so if you look under 25 they will be asking to see a valid ID.

YoungScot cards will be accepted but the PASS hologram mustn't be faded as it’ll not be accepted. Photos or photocopies of ID will also not be accepted.

Things you shouldn't bring:

TRNSMT has a full section on its website on what you can and cannot bring into the event. TRNSMT aims to recycle as much as possible this year, so please don’t bring in any items you shouldn't. Bags and rucksacks are allowed for essential items, but should be smaller than an A4 piece of paper.

Items that fans should not bring include:

  • Metal, glass or hard plastic water bottles
  • Food or drink
  • Glass (including perfumes)
  • Flares or smoke canisters (These are dangerous and now illegal to have at large events)
  • Flags
  • Chairs
  • Professional cameras or selfie sticks
  • Umbrellas
  • Anything that could be used as a weapon

To get you in the mood for the event, the TRNSMT team have created a Spotify playlist with songs from all of the bands and acts appearing on Friday, which you can find on the website.

What is the weather due to be like at TRNSMT on Friday?

According to the Met Office, there are set to be lows of 15C and highs of 20C on the first day of the music festival. For much of the day it is, thankfully, expected to remain dry.

However, there will be a brief period where rain will fall at around 7pm. Apart from a small window where we will see a light shower of rain, the day is forecast to be cloudy with some sun peeking through behind the clouds.
