Jonas Buhl Bjerre lost four games to Javokhir Sindarov in the title clash of Global Chess League in Dubai on Sunday. But he beat his Uzbek slayer when it mattered most to win the title for Triveni Continental Kings in the fourth sudden death game against U Mumba Masters.

The unpredictability and inaccuracy - the USPs of this format - came to the fore when Sindarov missed getting mated in one move in the decider when pressing for a win in the mutual time scramble.
