Agartala: Acting on specific intelligence, the joint team of Assam Rifles and the Customs Department in two separate incidents seized 2286.9 kg of marijuana from the Vijayanagar area and 14 gold bars and ornaments weighed 1.15 kgs with an estimated value of Rs 1.02 crore in Badarghat in West Tripura district.
The joint team executed the operation with efficiency and coordination, striking a significant blow to smuggling networks in the region, said officials.
