The company behind the Manchester Food and Drink Festival has entered liquidation after being hit by a "triple whammy" of issues.
The business, which had been trading since 1998, was closed down voluntarily by its directors after being impacted by the pandemic, sponsors retreating and cashflow issues leaving the directors "no other choice" but to liquidate the company.
Paul Stanley and Jason Greenhalgh of Begbies Traynor have been appointed as joint liquidators of Manchester Food and Drink Festival Limited after the Manchester Evening News reported last week that the event would not be returning this year.
