Three people charged over the murder of a man just outside Adelaide have pleaded not guilty to the crime.
Matthew Charles Draganoff, his wife Amanda Jane Draganoff and Matthew Harmati appeared at Adelaide Magistrates Court via video link from their various prisons.
Through their lawyers, the trio pleaded not guilty to shooting dead 49-year-old Simon Middleton in Virginia, 30 kilometres north of Adelaide, in March last year.
They conceded there was a case to answer, and they will be arraigned in the Supreme Court in November.
Mr Middleton lived in a property attached to the Draganoff family's business.
The prosecution has previously told the court there appeared to be no motive for the "premeditated, cold-blooded execution-style murder".
Ms Draganoff applied for bail in May 2021, saying she needed to look after her three children.
Her application was denied after Justice Sophie David said her nine-year-old child had the support of older, adult siblings and Ms Draganoff was likely to "intimidate or subordinate" potential prosecution witnesses if she was released.
