Tributes have poured in for a Scots DJ following his sudden death just days after the release of 'the biggest track' of his life.
Jamie Roy's devastated family announced his passing to fans in a touching Facebook post on Wednesday morning. Describing the producer as a 'talented' musician, his heartbroken loved ones told how he would be missed by many.
The post reads: "It is with much sadness that we share this message from Jamie Roy's family. Jamie passed away yesterday.
"Jamie was a much loved and talented son, brother, nephew and uncle and loved by his many friends and colleagues both within the music industry and beyond that. We are all absolutely heartbroken."
Jamie, from Dumfries, was a regular artist in Glasgow's underground house and techno scene in his younger years. He went on to play for holidaymakers in Ibiza - performing at Pacha, Ushuaïa Ibiza, Amnesia, Ibiza Rocks and DC-10.
His sudden death comes just days after he released 'Let Us Sing', with 'one of the biggest producers on earth'. Tagging Sony Music and Ultra Records in a post on social media, Jamie shared the news with fans, revealing he had produced the song in lockdown.
Artists from the British music scene have been leading tributes online, with performers describing him as 'one of the good ones'.
DJ and producer Ewan McVicar, from Ayrshire, wrote: "Just heard about Jamie Roy. One of the good ones.
"Unmatched positive energy always and no hidden agenda, just a good guy. So, so sad.
"I am gutted rest in peace mate".
Newcastle DJ Patrick Topping added: "Gutted to hear of the passing of Jamie Roy, such a sound lad".
DJ duo CamelPhat posted online: "RIP Jamie Roy, one of the good guys in this crazy industry. Thoughts are with your family and friends.
"Will miss you."
London-based DJ and producer Zoe London wrote: "I’m so sad to hear about Jamie Roy passing this morning. I’d followed him for a while and loved how inspiring his life and career in this industry was.
"He came across as a truly genuine and lovely guy. I’m sorry for the loss."
