Tributes have poured in for three teenagers who died in a tragedy in Galway on Saturday.
The three young men all passed away after the car they were travelling in entered the water at Menlo Pier on the outskirts of Galway city around 2.40am.
The three crash victims have since been named locally as 16-year-old John Keenan, 17-year-old Wojcieck Panek and 19-year-old Christopher Stokes.

The local community in Galway has been rocked by their sudden deaths. The Olympic Boxing Club in Galway has paid tribute to John and Christopher, who were both members of the boxing club, calling them "exceptional young men".
In a post on Facebook the Olympic Boxing Club wrote: "Rest in Peace to both club members Christopher Stokes and John Keenan,
"Both exceptional young men and too young to go. Rest in perfect peace boys, we’re all broken hearted."
In a separate post when the news first broke, the club shared their "heartbreak" that John had passed away, saying he "would go out of his way to help anyone" and always had a "big smile on his face".
The Olympic Boxing Club wrote: "It’s with deep pain, heartbreak and sorrow that the untimely and tragic death has occurred of one of our boxers John Keenan early hours this morning.
"John has been with us at Olympic BC since he was 10years after following his brother Martin Sammon through our doors.
"John had always had a big smile on his face and would go out of his way to do anything for anyone, He never let anything get him down.
"Our sincerest and heartfelt condolences goes out to John’s Brother Martin, his Mother Elizabeth and his brothers and sisters.
"May his soul and the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace amen."
Emergency services rushed to the scene in the early hours of Saturday morning after they received reports of a car entering the water at Menlo Pier.
Three male teenagers were removed from the water and taken to University Hospital Galway.
Two of the men, John and Wojcieck, were pronounced dead in hospital and a third man, Christopher, was left fighting for his life in 'critical' condition. Tragically, he died in intensive care on Saturday afternoon.
Gardai have sealed off the scene at Menlo Pier and it remains preserved for a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.
In an update on Saturday evening, a spokesperson said: “Gardaí are continuing to investigate a fatal single vehicle road traffic incident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday 11th February 2023 in County Galway.
"Three males were removed from the water and taken to University Hospital Galway where two of the males passed away.
"The third male removed from the water and taken to University Hospital Galway has now also passed away.
"The scene at Menlo Pier remains preserved for technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.
