Family and friends have paid tribute to a retired nurse who tragically died after being hit by a double-decker bus.
Carol Fisher, from Fulwood, was hit by a bus on Monday afternoon (November 14). Police were called to the scene on Sherwood Way, Preston, where Carol was rushed to hospital - however, she tragically died a short time later.
The 81-year-old, a retired auxiliary nurse at Fulwood Hall Hospital, was well-known and loved by her local community, Lancs Live reports. In a tribute, her family described her as a "much-loved Mum, Nan, Sister and a great friend to many".
