Touching tributes have been paid following the passing of Irish film producer James Flynn, whose latest credit is the Oscar-nominated Banshees of Inisherin.
The 57-year-old passed away following a short battle with illness.
He previously produced seminal Irish works such as Angela's Ashes, Veronica Guerin and the hugely popular RTÉ crime drama Love/Hate.

The Irish Film Institute, of which Flynn was an esteemed council member, said they were deeply saddened to learn of his passing.
A spokesperson stated: "James’s wisdom, generosity and talent will be greatly missed by many of us throughout the film industry."
In 1997, he and his wife Juanita Wilson established Metropolitan Films, which to date has been involved with over 80 feature film and TV productions including Juanita’s Oscar-nominated The Door and critically acclaimed feature As If I Am Not There.
Some of Mr Flynn's other notable credits, spanning a three-decade career pioneering Ireland as a filming location, are: P.S I Love You, The General, Vikings and The Tudors.
Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media Catherine Martin TD said she was "greatly saddened" after learning of the news of Mr Flynn's passing.
She said his most recent success with Banshees of Inisherin was the "culmination of a career at the very forefront of Irish cinema and TV drama production."
Screen Ireland also paid tribute to Mr Flynn and his family who, they said, made an enormous contribution to the Irish screen industry.
"Our thoughts are with his wife Juanita, his family, friends and colleagues at this time," they added.
