Tributes have poured in following the death of a Dublin "gentleman" fireman and singer who has sadly passed away.
Finglas native Jimmy Giles died on Thursday night following a short illness in the presence of his beloved three sons. He was also a sometimes contributor to a local Facebook page in Glasnevin, which noted that he was a "former soldier, security man, fireman, singer/M.C and taxi driver was well known throughout Dublin."
Mr Giles was a proud former member of Dublin Fire Brigade, and a few years ago he retired from his posting in Finglas. In his years with Dublin Fire Brigade, he helped to deliver 21 babies.
