When the Jacksonville Jaguars take the field on Friday against the Cleveland Browns, their starters will take part in the first few series, according to head coach Doug Pederson. That includes quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who was among the 21 players who sat out in the Jags’ first preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Of course, there are a few starters the Jags will withhold from the game who are recovering from injuries or just returning from them, like running back James Robinson (Achilles) and receivers Jamal Agnew (hip) and Laviska Shenault Jr (unknown).
With Robinson out, Travis Etienne will be starting and seeing his first preseason action since sustaining a Lisfranc injury last preseason in August. He’s been arguably the most impressive player in camp, and fans will finally get to see his speed and explosiveness on television.
Pederson also said that right tackle Jawaan Taylor would play after dealing with a hamstring injury that sidelined him in last week’s game. He added that Taylor would rotate with Walker Little as the team is still trying to figure out who will start at the right tackle position.
Jags No. 2 quarterback C.J. Beathard will be taking the field, too, after missing last week. He sustained a groin injury in organized team activities, but has slowly worked his way back to 100% in training camp.
