Trevor Lawrence Injury: Will Jags QB Play In Week 10?

Things have gone from bad to worse for Trevor Lawrence, who is now dealing with a left shoulder injury. Will the Jaguars quarterback play in Week 10?

Trevor Lawrence Unlikely To Play In Week 10

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Lawrence is unlikely to play for the Jaguars (2-7), who host the Minnesota Vikings (7-2) on Sunday afternoon.

Lawrence has been receiving treatment for his shoulder. The injury led to Lawrence being limited in practice on Wednesday.

Head coach Doug Pederson did not confirm Lawrence’s availability for Sunday’s game.

When Jay Gruden hinted Lawrence might need surgery, Rapoport wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “No surgery scheduled, Jay. There are several options immediate and down the road. That’s one of them. He’s considered day-to-day with a left shoulder.”

Trevor Lawrence’s Rocky 2024 Campaign

Lawrence’s shoulder injury is another setback for a tumultuous season.

After dealing with numerous injuries in 2023, Lawrence was supposed to take the next leap this season and become one of the game’s ten best quarterbacks.

However, Lawrence has been extremely inconsistent all season. Lawrence has thrown for 2,004 yards, 11 touchdowns, and six interceptions with a 60.8 QBR.

Lawrence threw a drive-killing interception in the end zone with under two minutes left, ending the Jaguars’ comeback chances against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 9.

If Lawrence can’t play, former Patriots first-round pick Mac Jones is the backup quarterback. Jacksonville also signed veteran C.J. Beathard on Wednesday to add another quarterback to their depth chart.
