Trent Alexander-Arnold was substituted at half-time in Liverpool's Premier League clash against Arsenal.
The 23-year-old had a busy 45 minutes and was arguably at fault for both of the Gunners goals, losing Gabriel Martinelli after less than one minute as he latched onto a Martin Odegaard through ball before an overzealous attempt to cover Jordan Henderson in first-half injury-time opened up space for Bukayo Saka to turn home from close range.
Alexander-Arnold also suffered a potential injury blow and was left writhing in pain after Martinelli accidentally stood on his ankle in what looked like a nasty challenge. The Liverpool right-back played out the remaining 25 minutes of the first-half and looked relatively unaffected.

But the West-Derby born Red was subbed off during the break and replaced by Joe Gomez. Although the reason for Jurgen Klopp's decision to make the substitution is unknown, a combination of the ankle injury and a couple of defensive errors looked to have forced the Liverpool manager's hand.
Luis Diaz was also forced off with a leg injury shortly after he set up Darwin Nunez for Liverpool's opening goal, with the Colombian coming off worse after a tangle with Thomas Partey.
