'Treat us like humans': rise in out-of-home care kids

The number of vulnerable children in "substandard" residential care is rising in Australia's worst-hit state, causing a $500 million budget blowout.

A report has called for the Queensland government to improve conditions after revealing a major jump in the number of children in out-of-home care.
