At least one player on the Jacksonville Jaguars roster pranked No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker, but the rookie linebacker hasn’t figured out who it was yet.
On Wednesday, Walker told reporters that somebody filled his car with packing peanuts. Getting all that Styrofoam out of his car has been a pain, but Walker’s taking the prank in stride.
“I just took it on the chin… you’re only a rookie once and it’s something I’ll be able to tell my kids one day”
Yup. Travon Walker still hasn’t gotten all the packing peanuts out of his car. Or figured out which veteran did it 😅🤣#Jaguars pic.twitter.com/ijUEf2YJZO

“I just took it on the chin and after they put the peanuts in my car I just look at it like, you’re only a rookie once,” Walker said, via Mia O’Brien of 1010XL. “So that’s something I’ll always be able to look back on and tell my kids, ‘Yeah they did such and such.'”
As far as rookie pranks go, filling a car with packing peanuts is pretty tame. Walker didn’t have to sport a ridiculous haircut like many NFL players once had to do as rookies.
Oddsmakers have set the over/under for Walker’s rookie season sack total at 6.5. The Jaguars’ single-season rookie record for sacks is 10.5, set by current outside linebacker Josh Allen in 2019.
