Travis Kelce follows in Patrick Mahomes’ footsteps as he invests in MLB team

  • The Kansas City Chiefs tight end acquired a small share of David Blitzer's 35 per cent holding in the franchise, with the announcement made on Wednesday.
  • Kelce, a native of Cleveland Heights, expressed his long-held desire to invest in his childhood favourite team, calling it a “dream come true” on his New Heights podcast.
  • His deep connection to baseball includes excelling in the sport during high school and playing on a collegiate summer team, and he is scheduled to throw a ceremonial first pitch on 14 June.
  • Kelce joins fellow Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes, who holds a stake in the Kansas City Royals, in investing in a Major League Baseball team.
