Travelodge hotels are set to get a major revamp with new 'luxe' hotel rooms being rolled out this year, as well as updates to hotels' receptions and restaurants.
The budget hotel chain is giving 60 of its UK hotels a makeover this year, in what Chief Executive Craig Bonnar has described as the brand's "'most radical transformation to date".
Rooms are going to be given a completely "new budget-luxe premium look", with perks such as king-sized beds with a box bed frame fitted with softer lights, as well as bedside reading lights and USB charging points.

Come bedtime, the room's blackout curtains are sure to come in handy too.
Rooms will also include a large desk and desk chair, a separate 'cosy statement armchair', a TV with Freeview, and complimentary tea and coffee facilities.
The new makeover will also include a fresh lick of paint with Travelodge's classic navy blue scheme, artwork inspired by lullabies, white decor in the bathrooms, and carpets made from recycled fishing nets.
It's not just the rooms which are being given an uplift.
As part of the re-design, hotels' reception areas will get revamped with decorative panels, soft LED lighting, leather benches and wooden style floors.
For those feeling peckish, the brand's Bar Cafés will boast dedicated zones for both business travellers and holidaymakers, including counter seating, booths and dining benches for larger groups.
Five hotels are already undergoing the makeover; London's Southwark, Vauxhall and Wembley locations, as well as the Southampton hotel and Thame hotel. It's anticipated that the revamp will be finished by the end of the month.
If you are after a cheap staycation, there are plenty of Travelodge deals and discounts to be found year-round, from £29 room sales to meal deals.
For example, the Bar Café offers a breakfast menu where for every paying adult, two children under the age of 16 eat for free.
