Travel expert Simon Calder shared the best dates to book a holiday for the year ahead.
Simon joined the This Morning sofa to help holiday goers get the best deal out of their adventures. With the cost of living crisis continuing to rise, many households have forfeited a foreign holiday but Simon revealed there are certain periods offering lower rates.
Simon shared details of return flights costing only £44 to Gran Canaria which are expected to skyrocket as time goes on. He said: "If you're able to travel immediately then do it because all of the bargains are here until the February half-term."

Jet2 and Ryanair are the airlines offering the lowest rates for an immediate getaway as their off-peak prices "can't be beat." Holly Willoughby raised concerns that most families won't be able to make use of the limited offers and asked which dates in the future are the best for a vacation.
Simon said April Fool's Day is the best date for a family holiday as it falls over the Easter period. Anyone planning a getaway was advised to book now as most households will only make their move closer to spring, causing prices to surge.
The warmer months are when most people decide a vacation is necessary but Simon declared you will pay a standard price and not benefit from any discounts if it is not arranged before February.
