The proposed redevelopment of Liverpool Street station would be “transformational” in improving capacity and accessibility, according to planning officials.
But the owners of the five-star former Great Eastern Hotel that forms part of the station’s historic facade say the scale of likely disruption - lasting eight years or more - is “simply unmanageable”.
