Roberto De Zerbi has praised Martin Dubravka’s experience and leadership after Tottenham confirmed they will sign the veteran goalkeeper upon the expiry of his contract at Burnley, writes Sam Tabuteau.
The Slovakian international will join Spurs on July 1 and is expected to provide back up for Antonin Kinsky.
With first-choice ‘keeper Guglielmo Vicario edging towards leaving the club, Spurs have been looking to bolster their options between the sticks.
Kinsky enjoyed an impressive end to the campaign as Spurs stayed up on the final day of the Premier League season and could yet make the No1 spot his own.
Real reopen Fernandez talks
18:15 , Oli Gent
Real Madrid have reopened talks with Chelsea for Enzo Fernandez, according to BBC Sport.
The Argentine features prominently on Jose Mourinho’s wishlist this summer, and the Blues are understood to have placed a £120million price tag on the midfielder.
Zidane considers former Man Utd keeper
17:55 , Oli Gent
Zinedine Zidane is a top target to replace Didier Deschamps as France manager after the World Cup, and L’Equipe report that the former midfielder is considering bringing in Fabien Barthez, the ex-Manchester United goalkeeper, as part of his backroom staff should be be appointed.
Spurs' Dubravka signing signals Vicario exit
17:35 , Ronan Sullivan
Martin Dubravka’s confirmed move to Spurs has triggered the imminent exit of Guglielmo Vicario and signified Antonin Kinsky’s status as their new no1.
Now, the Times are suggesting Tottenham want around £17m for the Italian, who they bought in 2023 for £16m.
The shot-stopper suffered criticism this season before hernia surgery ruled him out for several weeks near the season’s end, allowing Kinsky to stake his claim for a starting berth.
Vicario’s departure reflects the level of churn Spurs are undergoing this summer as they look to rebuild a squad almost relegated from the Premier League.
Spurs edge ahead in Fernandes race
17:15 , Ronan Sullivan
Spurs are moving ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Mateus Fernandes, according to the Times.
Roberto de Zerbi’s side are willing to a pay higher fee - reported to be £85m - than the Red Devils, so are current favourites to land the Portuguese.
Sandro Tonali is another target who Spurs are in firm talks with; the Lilywhites reportedly plan to buy both Tonali and Fernandes for their new-look midfield.
Former Spurs man Royal interesting Villa
16:43 , Ronan Sullivan
Aston Villa are plotting a surprise move for former Spurs defender Emerson Royal.
Unai Emery’s side are seeking a budget-friendly back-up for Matty Cash and the Brazilian could cost £7.7m from Flamengo, who he joined from AC Milan a year ago.
Royal, 27, spent three years with Spurs, making 79 appearances and scoring four goals.
The Villans’ Champions League qualification necessitates greater squad depth, and Royal’s potential addition would fulfil that need.
Man United working on Ugarte exit
16:35 , Ronan Sullivan
Manchester United must sell out-of-favour midfielder Manuel Ugarte to bring in further midfield additions.
The Sun reports United are confident of securing Mateus Fernandes’ signing, but can only secure Alex Scott or Carlos Baleba - from Bournemouth and Brighton, respectively - if they shift the Uruguayan on first.
Ugarte signed from PSG two years ago, but has struggled to secure a starting berth under both Ruben Amorim and Michael Carrick and now looks certain to leave.
Manchester United want around £45m for the 25-year-old.
Barca want cut-price Rashford
16:07 , Ronan Sullivan
Barcelona are still hoping to sign Marcus Rashford - but only if Manchester United lower their transfer demands.
The Blaugrana’s £69m signing of Anthony Gordon seemed to end Rashford’s hopes of a reunion with Hansi Flick’s men after a season-long loan with the Spanish side.
But new reports from Teamtalk indicate Barca still live in hope that Man United will drop their £40m asking price. They are hoping the Red Devils will settle at around £25m-£30m for the England international.
Barcelona are not the only interested suitors, however; Tottenham are sniffing around Rashford as they look to bolster their squad and back new head coach Roberto de Zerbi.
Chelsea to fight Madrid for Ramon
15:40 , Ronan Sullivan
Chelsea are again looking to Serie A for defensive reinforcements, stepping up their pursuit of Jacobo Ramon amid the imminent signing of Marco Palestra.

15:15 , Ronan Sullivan
Emiliano Martinez’s transfer to Juventus is no closer after the Turin giants baulked at Aston Villa’s demands.

But these reports indicate he is willing to succeed Scot Parker, who was sacked after the club’s relegation from the Premier League was confirmed in April.
Tchouameni out; Fernandez in at Real Madrid
14:14 , Ronan Sullivan
Aurelien Tchouameni could depart Real Madrid to make room for Enzo Fernandez, Mario Cortegana reports.
Fernandez is new Madrid boss Jose Mourinho’s apparent top target, so Tchouameni may need to be moved on to make space for the Argentine.
The Chelsea midfielder would cost an eye-watering £120m, but the Blues are willing to sanction his departure after comments he made earlier this season.
Rumours Eduardo Camavinga could depart are considered wide of the mark by sources close to the situation.
Hull want Man United's Vitek
13:55 , Ronan Sullivan
Hull are targeting the young Manchester United goalkeeper Radek Vitek, the Daily Mail report.
Vitek, 22, was on loan at Bristol City last season and kept 12 clean sheets in 41 appearances.
The Czech shot-stopper does want to play back-up to Senne Lammens, so is seeking a move away from Old Trafford, with newly-promoted Hull City his most likely destination.
Kone in north London transfer tussle
13:35 , Ronan Sullivan
Manu Kone favours a move to Arsenal over Spurs, Italian press reports say.
The France international, 25, currently plays for Roma, but both north London sides have enquired about the defensive midfielder in recent weeks.

13:15 , Ronan Sullivan

12:56 , Ronan Sullivan
Spurs have an interest in Celtic midfielder Benjamin Nygren as their spending spree continues, Sportsboom report.

He could supplement Roberto de Zerbi’s attacking options as Dejan Kulusevski and Xavi Simons recover from long-term injuries.
Leeds secure Wilson signing
12:35 , Ronan Sullivan
Harry Wilson is set to join Leeds on a free after rejecting a contract offer from Fulham.
His contract with the Cottagers is due to expire and the west London side were reported to have offered the Welshman, 29 a new deal.
But David Ornstein is reporting Wilson has agreed to sign for Leeds and join Daniel Farke’s side.
The winger almost joined the Whites last summer, but stayed at Craven Cottage.
He scored 10 goals and assisted seven for the Cottagers last season and his signing is a major coup for Farke.
Vicario to leave Tottenham as Dubravka deal sealed
12:06 , George Flood
Martin Dubravka to Tottenham looks to be a done deal.
As discussed earlier, Spurs have made a surprise swoop for the 37-year-old as part of significant changes to their goalkeeping group this summer.
Dubravka will join Tottenham following the expiration of his contract at relegated Burnley next week.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the former Newcastle and Manchester United stopper will be the second-choice option behind Antonin Kinsky, with Guglielmo Vicario definitely now on his way out.
That would be a massive show of faith in Kinsky from head coach Roberto De Zerbi, with Spurs having been strongly linked with the likes of James Trafford of England and Manchester City in this window.
