Asked about his likes and dislikes from his first few weeks in England, new Nottingham Forest signing Danilo broke into a grin before miming the answer.
“No problems,” he said. The young midfielder then mimicked holding a steering wheel and added: “I’m really liking everything so far, there’s nothing I’ve disliked yet - other than right-hand drive and driving on the other side of the road!”
When it comes to helping the Reds steer a course in the Premier League, the 21-year-old is confident he will find that much easier. He is still adapting, of course, but Danilo feels he has settled well.

Shelvey verdict
Former Nottingham Forest defender Jamaal Lascelles has said that he was ‘really sad’ to see Jonjo Shelvey leave Newcastle on deadline day after playing together for so many years.
Shelvey completed a permanent transfer to the City Ground on the final day of the January window. Before his move was confirmed, the midfielder returned to Newcastle to say a last goodbye to his teammates in an emotional dressing room speech following the Magpies ’ Carabao Cup semi-final victory over Southampton.
Shelvey was with Newcastle for seven years, helping the club to win promotion back to the Premier League in 2017. He has found game time hard to come by this season due to injury, but will hope to have an impact on the second half of the season for Forest.
Lascelles, who made the opposite move from the City Ground to St James’ Park initially in 2014, outlined the influence that Shelvey has had in the dressing room during his time at the club. The defender also made a prediction about his former teammate’s time at Forest.
Transfer joy
As soon as it became clear Felipe would be making the move to Nottingham Forest, there was one particular phone call which needed to be made.
And it was one which finished with “tears of joy”. Signing for the Reds on deadline day meant the defender and his family would be reunited with his great friend Renan Lodi.
The latter linked up with Steve Cooper’s side in the summer, on a season-long loan from Atletico Madrid. He had a key role to play in convincing his former teammate that leaving Spain to join Forest’s Brazilian contingent - which also now includes Gustavo Scarpa and Danilo - was the right decision.
“The transfer market was all very confusing and pretty crazy,” Felipe explained. “Renan's presence here did have a weight on my decision. But not only Renan, also the presence of Gustavo, Danilo and also Willy Boly who I know as well.
Navas praise
Costa Rica international Francisco Calvo hailed Keylor Navas' 'spectacular' Nottingham Forest performance against Leeds United.
Navas joined the Reds on loan from Paris Saint-Germain until the end of the season, to provide cover for injured Dean Henderson. The 36-year-old made his debut at the City Ground last Sunday, as Forest came away winners and the stopper secured his first clean sheet.
He made several saves to deny Leeds, and his Costa Rica teammate is pleased to see him reignite his career after becoming second choice to Gianluigi Donnarumma in Paris. "[He was] spectacular," Calvo told Yashin Digital.
"Navas deserves it because they have done him a lot of injustice in my view of football. But sometimes football is like that, it’s about coaches and sometimes when a coach arrives he doesn’t like you, he doesn’t want to play you and that’s it. That’s football.
