Bargain transfer turned down
Luton Town have reportedly decided against signing Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Ethan Horvath after promotion to the Premier League.
According to The Sun's Alan Nixon, Luton could have completed a permanent move for the American international for £1.5m. That looks to be a bargain price considering the key role he play in promotion via the play-offs as he kept 20 clean sheets last season.
However, it is claimed Luton will look elsewhere within the Championship to replace Horvath. Blackburn's Thomas Kaminski is their first choice target despite him being valued at £6m.
Forgotten man makes Reds vow
Nottingham Forest defender Giulian Biancone has teased a return from injury, having not played since October last year.
The Frenchman joined Steve Cooper's side last summer on a three-year deal from Ligue 1 side Troyes. But a devastating knee injury in training ruled him out of action for much of the season.
Biancone has played just 16 minutes in all competitions for the Reds since his arrival at the City Ground in July last year. His most recent appearance was the 0-0 draw at Brighton on October 18.
Supercomputer predicts 23/24 season
The 2023/24 Premier League fixtures have only just been released, but already there is plenty of talk about how Nottingham Forest will fare.
Steve Cooper’s side finished 16th in their first season back in the top-flight after a 23-year absence, having secured survival with a game to spare. The aim now is to build on that platform.
Progress can be measured in a number of ways, however. And if the prediction of a supercomputer is anything to go by, climbing the table will be tough for the Reds.
Forest striker left speechless
Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis was left "speechless" after meeting his footballing hero Ronaldinho while on holiday.
The 25-year-old is currently earning some down time on holiday with Brazilian teammate Gustavo Scarpa. The pair were pictured together on social media with the caption: "Enjoy the holidays with my big bro Scarpa."
Dennis arrived at the City Ground in a £14million deal last summer from Watford. He scored two Premier League goals in 19 appearances during his debut season at the Reds.
