Train hits bull, stuck for 30 mins

KOLKATA: Passengers on board the Down Bongaon-Majherhat local were stranded for over 30 minutes on Monday after the train hit a bull crossing the railway track between Habra and Sanhati railway stations.

The incident took place around 7.40am and resulted in a technical snag. The bull, however, died after being hit. Later railway engineers and technicians rushed to repair the fault and resumed service around 9.30am.

Services were also disrupted for over an hour on Sealdah-Bongaon section following the incident.
