Taylor Hawkins stepped out from behind the drums to sing a cover of his favourite band Queen's song Somebody to Love in his final performance before his sudden death at the age of 50.
The Foo Fighters played Lollapalooza festival in Argentina last week and fans were delighted to see the legendary drummer trade places with Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl during the show.
As the pair are both accomplished drummers, it became tradition for the lead singer to trade places with Taylor and allow him to take the microphone for a song or two during their energetic live shows.
"Ooh, each morning I get up I die a little," Taylor sings in the incredible clip.
"Can barely stand on my feet, take a look in the mirror and cry."
Before the touching performance, Taylor told the crowd: “I f***in’ love Dave Grohl, man.
“I’d be delivering pizzas if it wasn’t for fuckin’ Dave Grohl. I’d be managing the drum department at a Guitar Center if it wasn’t for Dave Grohl.”
Taylor's heartbroken band members announced his death last night.
A statement on the band's official Twitter page read: "The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins.
"His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever.
"Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time."
A cause of death was not given.
The band have now cancelled their show at Festival Estéreo Picnic in the capital following the tragedy.
The Foo Fighters had been planning a worldwide tour in 2022 with dates planned in the UK for the summer.
Devastated fans were in shock after reading the band's statement.
One begged: "No. No I don’t understand. Is this some kind of sick joke? Has someone hacked their account?"
But another told them: "It’s no joke, he was found dead today in Bogotá, they were going to play today in a music festival named Estereo Picnic."
Paying tribute, another wrote: "An incredible musician that will be missed. Loved his spirit and smile."
And another commented: "No. What? I can't believe this. What? I'm am so grateful I got to see Taylor perform live. I just attended a foo fighters tribute act tonight aswell. RIP Taylor".
