On New Year's Eve, a night of celebration turned into a nightmare on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Eyewitnesses recounted a horrifying scene as a vehicle crashed into a crowd, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 people and leaving dozens more injured.

One witness, Kevin Garcia, described the chaos as he saw a truck plow into people on the sidewalk, with bodies being thrown in all directions. He also mentioned hearing gunshots amidst the commotion.

Another witness, Whit Davis, shared his experience of leaving a nightclub on Bourbon Street when the incident unfolded. Panic ensued as people started yelling and running, seeking safety. The club went into lockdown temporarily, and when they were allowed to leave, the police directed them to evacuate the area swiftly.

Davis recounted the grim sight of unattended bodies and numerous individuals receiving urgent medical attention. The police presence was evident, urging people to leave the vicinity promptly and not linger at the scene.
