In a deeply tragic incident that has left a community in shock, an infant in Missouri lost her life after her mother accidentally placed her down for a nap in an oven. The devastating incident occurred in Kansas City, and the mother, Mariah Thomas, has since been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Emergency services were summoned on Friday afternoon in response to a report of an infant who was unresponsive. Upon arrival, responders discovered the child with apparent burns and, tragically, the infant was pronounced dead at the scene.
