Following a multi-day large-scale search effort in Lake Erie, the Conneaut Police Department confirmed the heartbreaking news that the body of 10-year-old Hunter Ebie has been recovered. The young boy was swept away by a strong rip current while visiting Conneaut Township Park with his mother and a friend.
The incident occurred on a Friday afternoon when Hunter, who was ankle-deep in the water, was suddenly carried away by the powerful current. His mother, Diana, bravely attempted to rescue him, risking her own life in the process.
