The tragic last Snapchat post of murdered Bobbi-Anne McLeod before has been recovered from the teenager's phone
Bobbi-Anne, from Plymouth, disappeared after leaving to catch a bus close to her home on November 20 last year, Plymouth Live reports.
Her body was discovered in woodland in Bovisand, Devon, three days later.
Musician Cody Ackland, 24, admitted murder during a hearing at Plymouth Crown Court last month and has today been sentenced to 31 years in prison.
There were calls of murderer and other profanities as Ackland was taken from the dock with Bobbi-Anne's brother Lee shouting: "You're a dead man."
Miss McLeod's mother Donna wept throughout the hearing.
Remnants of the fire at Bellever Woods were examined by police, with Bobbi-Anne's blood found on several stones in the car park.
At 6:49pm on the night she went missing Bobbi-Anne posted on Snapchat a picture of her feet at the bus stop saying she was cold.
This was the last thing she ever posted. She was attacked minutes later.
Mobile phone data showed Ackland arrived home at the same time Bobbi-Anne's mum reported her missing.
He threw the hammer used to kill Bobbi-Anne into the Tamar. It has never been recovered despite extensive searches.
The bag containing the clothes was discarded at allotments near where Ackland lived.
Judge Linford today sentenced Ackland to life in prison, with a minimum term of 31 years.
He added that there is a strong possibility Ackland will never be released.
Judge Linford thanked Bobbi-Anne's family and friends and said he didn't know how they contained themselves.
On the Sunday afternoon, a day after killing Bobbi-Anne McLeod, Ackland was out socialising with friends, going for a pizza, joining rehearsal with his band Rakuda, before drinking into the small hours at a pub lock-in.
People who knew him well described him as "happier than usual", saying the only time he was usually so joyful was when he was preparing for a gig.
He would later tell a psychiatrist the feelings of depression he had felt before murdering Miss McLeod had now gone and was not feeling the same resentment as before "as if this violent act as rid him of these feelings".
Ackland was arrested and has been remanded in custody since his first court appearance on November 26.
He is due to be sentenced today, when it is expected a judge will hand him a life sentence and confirm the minimum term he will serve.
