Tragedy struck Beirut, Lebanon on Tuesday as a series of powerful explosions rocked the city, resulting in a devastating toll on human lives. According to Lebanon's health minister Firass Abiad, at least eight individuals, including a child, lost their lives in the tragic incident. Additionally, approximately 2,800 people sustained injuries as a result of the explosions.
The explosions, which occurred in the port area of Beirut, sent shockwaves through the city and caused widespread destruction. The exact cause of the explosions is still under investigation, but early reports suggest that they may have been triggered by the detonation of stored ammonium nitrate.
