Two people charged with murder after a man was allegedly abducted at gunpoint and tortured for hours will remain behind bars.

Van Dam Nguyen, 52, died in a Brisbane specialist care ward on January 7 after police said he was admitted to a hospital the previous day with "significant head injuries".
