Tributes have been paid to the victim of a third road fatality in Cavan in just over a week.
Father of one Piotr Aronik (44) of Boggan, Moynalty, Meath and Mullagh, Cavan, died following a road traffic collision involving a car and a parked truck that occurred at approximately 11:30am on Friday, May 5.
The crash happened on the R178 at Carrickgorman, near Bailieborough. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr Aronik was a native of Bielsko-Biala, Giewont, Poland but had lived in Cavan for a number of years. No funeral arrangements have been made as yet.
One friend wrote ‘’Rest in paradise brother. I will never forget you and the memories we have I’ll Cherish them forever until we meet again. May you watch over your daughter and all your family and friends’’.
His death is the third fatality on Cavan roads in a little over a week, and the second in just 24 hours after Colm Tully from Cootehill died in a crash that occurred on the N3, New Inns, Ballyjamesduff, on Thursday evening.
Mr Aronik, a truck driver, previously lived at Brookville, Mullagh, and is a native of Bielsko-Biala, Giewont, in Poland.
Following the crash, a Forensic Collision Investigation was carried out at the scene on the R178 at Carrickgorman.
Gardaí are meanwhile appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R178 at Carrickgorman, Bailieborough between 11am and 12pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
