Two workers have tragically lost their lives, and 53 others are currently trapped beneath the rubble following the collapse of an under-construction apartment building in George, South Africa. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon, with a total of 75 workers present at the site when the structure gave way.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the collapse, which took place in the coastal city of George, located approximately 250 miles east of Cape Town. In the aftermath, 20 workers were rescued from the debris and are receiving medical treatment for their injuries at various hospitals in the area.
