Five Marines have been confirmed dead after a CH-53 Super Stallion helicopter crashed in a forest in Southern California. The helicopter was en route from Nevada to California on February 6th when the tragic incident occurred. The Marines released a statement expressing their deepest condolences to the families of the fallen, assuring them of support and care during this difficult time.
Rescue efforts were hindered by challenging weather conditions, but search teams were able to locate the crash site in Cleveland National Forest, just outside of San Diego. The helicopter was found at the scene, and the five Marines on board were tragically confirmed deceased.
