A man has tragically died after being hit by a train at Headingley.
British Transport Police officers were called to the station, which is off Kirkstall Lane, at 8.13pm yesterday, April 12, along with paramedics from Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Headingley station at 8.13pm yesterday evening (April 12) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended and sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Train services between Leeds and Harrogate were disrupted for several hours to allow emergency services to work safely at the scene. A rail replacement bus operated between Horsforth and Leeds.
