Oil keeps rising on Monday as tensions continue to flare up between the U.S. and Iran in the Strait of Hormuz and traffic through the key waterway slows.
Brent crude, the international benchmark, climbed 3.63% and clocked in at $78.77 a barrel at 08:29 a.m. ET, while the West Texas Intermediate, the U.S. benchmark, did so by 3.78% and stood at $74.11 per barrel at the same time.
