Australian trade sanctions against Russia due to its invasion of Ukraine will be extended for another two years.
Sanctions imposed in the immediate aftermath of Russia's invasion in 2022 saw the federal government impose an extra 35 per cent customs duty to goods entering Australia from Russia and Belarus.
However, the initial round of the sanctions were due to expire on Tuesday.
Home Affairs Minister Clare O'Neil told parliament the additional duties on goods would be extended until October 24, 2025.
"The extensions of this additional duty aligns with measures implemented by like-minded nations," she said on Wednesday.
"Australia unambiguously condemns Russia's illegal, immoral and unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.
Australia supported Ukrainians' sovereignty, territorial integrity and the right to self-determination, Ms O'Neil said.
