Moments after selecting Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud with the No. 2 overall pick, the Houston Texans are making a massive trade to also make the pick at No. 3.
The Texans moved up from No. 12 overall, a pick acquired from the Cleveland Browns in the Deshaun Watson trade last year, to acquire No. 3 from the Arizona Cardinals. With the third pick, the Texans quickly selected Alabama EDGE Will Anderson.
Trade details
The Texans trade No. 12 and No. 33 in 2023, plus a first-round pick and a third-round pick in 2024 to the Cardinal. Arizona trades back No. 3 overall and No. 105, a fourth-rounder this year.
